Is it the JTAG connector? I think you could just solder on a new one if you needed it. Definitely unnecessary to just play the game.
If you do go for it, offer $1000 (or less), seems like they accept those offers.
If I didn't already have DFK I'd be all over it for that price.

I'm tempted. Id prefer a BL and I'm trying to save off the FOMO. I sent him a message asking if he'd consider a private sale for three different D boards of my choosing.

Welp. Pulled the trigger on DFK BL and Saidaioujou via private chat. The last two Cave PCBs I really wanted, and figured I'd probably never own (I'm a player, not really a collector).
I realize some people think the prices are still crazy, but considering they are closer to conversions than bootlegs, I want to play the original PCBs, and they are 1/3 to 1/4 (at least) the price of the originals, I'm actually very excited about them, and I say that as someone who has many CV1000 boards.

Was 1k each, but he included shipping which is usually ~80 per board on ebay.
I would have been looking at a heftier price drop for buying 3 , I'd say he has made quiet a few sales office now.
Still think everyone's tact is wrong here and should have seriously low balled him the FOMO and wanting to get something that is hard to find get will keep these prices artificially high otherwise ,this is where the arcade community fails all the time. I'm gonna keep sending 158 offers

Nha, its a separate debugging connector that has adress/data lines and stuff like that.
It has no use for anything relevant for gameplay or jtag purposes.

Yeah come on guys. It's one thing to buy one out of curiosity for the community to scrutinize (that we easily could've crowdfunded) but paying top dollar for bootlegs is not benificial for anyone. Resist the FOMO.
Its beneficial for the buyer that has to spend thousands less to play the game?
So I just ordered one of the only PCBs I've ever managed to own:

I was missing 2/3 kits between 4/5000€ each time sold before I could have them.
The converted pcb therefore comes back to me basically with customs etc at 1100€
too expensive of course but being a Cave player I really wanted to test it other than in emulation.
I can tell you if the game works perfectly soon

Just posting in case anyone else wants to run some testing too. Apparently Mr bootlegger may not be totally crazy as I’m hearing about pcbs and mame that have errors. But it certainly seems intermittent at this point, as I still can’t reproduce it in my mame setup.

My legit AK will probably tank in value, but its cool that more people get access to these.
Shame that theres little reason to make boots of the cv1000-b games currently though.
Like, Ibara is the best Cave game imo, but why would they bootleg that if they can sell a sdoj for more
