DDR speakers part thingy build

I have the pads, monitor frame and header of a ddr supernova, running stepmania.

After seeing the price of building a metal cab, i changed project and convinced “the boys” to help build the missing speaker part.

It is not meant to be an exact reproduction, just something similar, with some kick ! (see details @ https://www.arcade-projects.com/thr...your-recent-purchases-thread.1970/post-366236)

It is not done yet but hey, thought you might enjoy seeing progress!

300$ wood + cut + glue + staples + 3 inch pipe for ports

To finally getting a nice grip on the 15 inch neon

Holes to turn and fit neons to be done this week but its nice!

Progress:
- Neon holes done, connectors installed and working! And i didn’t remembered my neons were not the same! But it’s really cool!

- top (ceiling) part glued.

Left : tuning and trying a proper amp… that QSC clips and doesn’t give enough juice … and it should be violent.
Will try another one Thursday

More updates:

- topper and chasser lights!

- changed qsc 1300 to qsc 1500 and tuned it. The stock header speakers impressed my speakers friends/helper. It sound good now!!

She’s in its place for a get together tomorrow night and damn! It’s nice and sounds great
