I'd say it would be worth it. While the netdimm is that price, it's not going to stay that way forever. There's also the extra hardware you have to buy with it whether one is using piforce or a PC. Some people also have to have an extra PSU if they're running on a Capcom I/O from what I understand. Even when you do have everything together I've heard there's no guarantee things will work completely.I would be interested in it as a curiosity more than anything else. Truth is however, it would not be economically viable considering netdimm can be had for €250 or less and you aren't likely going to be able to build something equivalent and sell it for cheaper.
yes please. I've also have an old computer with FDD and like to replace it with some flash-based floppy emulator, and of curse it should be cheaper than FDD! same for a newer PC with a CD drive - I want CD-flash emulator too, ofc cheaper than CD drive!!!Eliminating the need for Dimms, Net-Dimms, etc. would be well worth the cost of a Naomi flash cartridge.
what are the RAM specs the DIMM wants?Well, after trying to upgrade my Dimm to 512mb instead of the normal 256, I found out one of the RAM sticks I purchased was dead. Now I REALLY wish a flashcart exists. But for now, I just have to get another stick for it and make do with what's available for now.
