My cabinet count is increasing and I'm coming up against the usual issues with mounting platers, screw positions, etc. So I started making notes on what I'm finding, WRT to panel mounts, adaptor plates and joystick mechs.

So far I've been delving into ASCII, Seimitsu, Sanwa, Hori, and SNK. Optical mechs too. I'll be adding to it as I come across stuff in my archives, but if anyone else has info that I'm missing, feel free to comment or add to it.

Sega

Sega used the same panel mount for most of their Candy-style cabs (Astro, Blast, Net City, Naomi, and more). Two 96mm spaced screws and a 14mm rise.

This isn't true. Only the Aero City and original 2L6B Astro panels are like this. Anything later than this uses a panel mount that will fit a Sanwa JLF without the joystick mouting plate.

Ahh, interesting. Weirdly enough, my NAC came with a 2L3B panel that has the Sanwa mount you describe, my Naomi cab came with a 2L6B that used the 96mm mounts. And of course the Virtua Stick Pros all used these mounts too.

Is it even possible to mount a Seimitsu stick on these Sanwa-type panels?

You can fit the 40mm mech ones, but not the 50mm. The mounting plate you need to use is the VF (or anything that has those two holes).
