Hey,

I recently bought an MGCD (Dreamcast to JAMMA adaptor) and had a little bit of a hard time setting it up. It's now working and I love it.
I thought I'd write a guide to make the entire process easier for others and here it is The unofficial MGCD user guide.

Awesome guide! Especially like the option to remove the timer OSD. I wish there was a way to enable free play via dip switch like there is on the PS2 equivalent but that's a small nitpick in the end. This was my go to console-to-arcade device before Jammaizer was an option.

OP would you happen to know which chips are used for controls? I have an MGCD that does not respond to controls at all. Actually the video was completely blank too, but I removed the chip that does the timer overlay and I get the correct video output now.

Hi there everyone,

I bought a Dreamcast MGCD to put inside my cab.
It runs audio and video when hooked to a DC and plugged into a cab, but the cab controls don't respond.
I have to plug a controller on the dreamcast to be able to play on the cab ... which is not satisfactory.

Can someone tell me if there is a problem with the cab controls.
Also I haven't been able to find the user manual for my specific model (52719 MC MZ / DC-P-GEN 01-24)

If anyone can help me figure out if I miss something or if the thing is malfunctioning, please let me know.
