Make your own MINI DIN 8 to SCART adapter.
  • Input video and audio via a MINI DIN 8 cable and output to SCART.
  • 3.5mm audio input to bypass DIN audio if desired.
  • Outputs correct voltages to SCART pins 8 and 16 to auto-switch to RGB mode and push 4:3 mode on widescreen CRT TVs.
  • A switch or header is used to alternate sync output to either standard SCART specification of PIN 20 or SCART PIN 12 for the OSSC hardware mod to allow TTL sync input via the OSSC's SCART input.
  • 3D files included to print an enclosure for the device.

Amazing, thanks for sharing. Apart from the functionality I like the idea of using a PCB inside a SCART connector to make it more robust.

If you allow a suggestion, since the audio comes from the jack connector I'd leave Mini Din 8 audio pins disconnected (or maybe leave a solder jumper?) to avoid interference.

The 3.5mm jack is switched, meaning once a cable is inserted audio is cut from the DIN. This also means, aside from removing audio from the DIN and reducing interference, one can feed in CPS2 stereo audio directly from the CPS2 RCA outs to the scart adapter 3.5mm jack, thus bypassing and disabling mono jamma audio and allowing the stereo audio from the CPS2 to pass through and out the scart connector.
 
Ill briefly mention that another version will roll out soon. Basically the same but simplified and designed around suggestions from @jassin000. This simplified version has no power pins, no audio connected to the DIN, no 3.5mm audio jack and a header to alternate sync output between scart pin 12 and 20 to suit either standard scart spec or modified OSSCs.

Could you show me a picture of the pins of the TME connector please?

Aliexpress ones are what you'd expect, not the best. Pins are flimsy, bent and a bit more effort to line up with the PCB.
 
I bought these connectors 2 years ago or so. If you want to be sure they are exactly the same before placing an order you can contact tme.

I've ordered some of them and they seem to be exactly the same.

I really like this idea. I used to offer such adapters many years ago, but they were a real pain to put together:

After seeing this thread I decided to give my own take at it and go the Viletim's way and just re-use the original Scart shell. It should be handy for people who don't have access to a 3D printer to print the case or just want to save money.

This one's got a switch to select CSync output (either pin #20 or #12 of the Scart to cover the newest OSSC mod). There's also a spot for a 5V to 12V step-up voltage regulator (Pololu U3V12F12).

Re the Aliexpress scart connectors, I ordered and have received some and... They're great! Pleasantly surprised to say the least. The pins are all straight and perfectly aligned, shaped and suited for this application... Soldering directly to a PCB.
 
Produced two nice examples of my DIN to scart adapter today. I was contemplating selling one but after crunching the numbers I think it's a product left as DIY. Main issue is shipping, Australia Post doesn't have an economical way to ship these abroad. I'd be at $45 AU to post one of these to the USA (price climbs with other countries) and I feel that's too expensive. There's about $18 worth of parts, $2 for a mailing box, $16 postage and $9 left over to cover my assembly time. Not really a fruitful endeavour for buyer or seller.

That said, if you're happy with the above you can buy one @KingSopz as you expressed interest early on.

It's probably better sold as an accessory bundled in with a Minigun rather than a standalone product.

I have updated this, download is in opening post. Don't have time to add pictures of the PCB as of yet but it's basically the same with the following changes:

  • Corrected scart pin pad spacing (thanks to @RGB for the assistance).
  • Added a switch or header, your choice, to alternate sync output between scart pins 12 and 20.
  • Rounded the corners of the 3D enclosure for a better print.
