So I've searched and couldn't find anything on a monkey ball controller, and I'm trying to see if I can make a Sega Strike Fighter Joystick JVS Controller but that'll be another post.
I stand of course on the shoulders of others from people who have shared their knowledge on forums, and on facebook, and with this I'd like to give back a little.

This is by no means "Huge" as it's pretty straight forward when you know how, a lot of times just getting a "Aha" moment can help.

So with this I used a Sony PS2 Joystick Module I had left over from a hardware project where I had to navigate a UI, to enter in offsets to analog values for a Arduino project.
I had purchased a tuscon logic JVS board, and flashed it with their analog firmware. Which is 90% of what you need, once you have that it gets pretty simple.

Connect Ground to Ground, 5V to VCC and then Joystick X, Y to pin 13&14 and I connected the push button to P1 Start, and it WORKED! I had to calibrate, and swap the {axis}wires until it "felt" natural. The Thing Zip-Tied is the coin button.
Here's some pictures, feel free to ask questions.
