Hi everyone,

I have an issue with my TC4
Everything working since couple days but today I have system256 mode setting error on player 1
I didn’t touch anything since I have this problem.

I have tested that :
Disconnect rj45 (try to launch it on single)
Change CR2032 battery

Nothing working

If anyone could help

Thank you 🙂

Hi MrHide

Thank you for your answer.

It’s a super 256 system, don’t think jumpers like 246/256 System are useful
In anycase I didn’t touch on that, I didn’t touch anything.
This error comes from nowhere 😅

Hi ArcSys101,

Not that, I try switch HDD and dongle in the P2 motherboard and game start.
Same error on P1 with HDD and dongle from P2 motherboard.

Thanks for your help :)

It's not very likely, but you might as well rule it out: make sure the jumper for the 246/256 switch is actually making contact. Try reseating it and double check continuity with a multimeter.

Hi Nem,

Both motherboard don’t have jumpers because it’s super 256 system.
I have cleaning up too to be sure nothing doing a bad contact but nothing works :(

Thanks for your help

Aha, I didn't know it didn't even have the switch. Nevermind then!

Yeah, the super 256 uses the same 256 main board but it has the jumpers removed and possibly has a completely different bios/CPU overclocking specifically for Time Crisis 4. I’m suspecting that maybe the bios is somehow corrupted or glitching out. If @NathanDrake has a 256 game like Tekken 5/DR and a dvd drive, connect it to the super 256 and it boots, then the super 256 somehow reverted its self back to a normal 256. Any other game other than TC4 would not work on the super 256 and would give the exact same error he’s getting.
