The fuse looks good and I think I plugged in an inner pole negative when it should take inner pole positive. Are there any capacitors that I would want to check. Its on an MV-F1Z.
I have a little tool specifically for checking capacitance when I desolder them and a multimeter but I only use it for continuity checks

Check where power is coming in through the power jack with a multimeter and work back from there. Let us know where you no longer see 5v reaching the board.

I only check continuity to the first capacitor from the inner pole of the power jack and it goes to the LED but the LED doesnt light up when I plug it in and turn it on so maybe something along the way doesnt allow a full 5v to get there

I tried a 161 cart and it worked lat night and I didnt change anything. I was using a DS Multi before with an incorrectly set up SD but after the 161 cart worked I tried the DS MUlti and it worked but it was glitchy since the SD SLOT files were from another DS multi. After I set up the SD it worked perfectly. The problem is that I think I would have tried the MVS with no cart inserted and also the DS Multi and MVS LED never came on, and I know the power was good from the wall and the power brick.
