Noob question: what’s this transformer for in my Net City?

Hi team,

Apologies for noob questions, but ordered a Net City from Yaton and can’t wait to get it! Any idea what this transformer is for? I’ve seen a lot of peoples Net City arcades on YouTube and no one seems to have one in theirs. Thank you!

220V to 110V transformer. China uses 220V voltage and the cab runs on 100V.

You will have to remove it.

looking at the pics the original cab harness has already been cut up to fit the transformer so the "damage" so to speak , has already been done.

Remove it, and then solder the pink wire to the pink wire and the blue wire to the blue wire.

If you want a cleaner fix, you will have to remake the harness. It's two wires with a male 3-pin AMP UP connector on one end and a female connector on the other (IIRC).
