Absolutely nothing. I suspect those custom chips develop internal corrosion since they even die by sitting on the shelf.
My best advice would be to play the games while they still work.

Much to my dismay it has been said that the System16 multi will come first... Since we still don't have that yet, its going to be a while longer. :/

I have a Golden Axe I could use for a multi, but to be honest I don't really care enough about the other titles to pay for a System 16 multi. CPS1 is pretty much the only multi I'd pay for in a heartbeat. Outside of the hypothetical better Naomi I guess.
