A year ago @networkingyuppy got two Astro city for our l local arcade here in Brooklyn NY. He turned them on and one survived the other went up in smoke. Not wanting to wait for me to have time to tackle the repair, we chose to get a replacement chassis. The original chassis that went up in smoke we put away so that I could hopefully in the future resurrect it. I finally got to it and my god it was a mess in there, R464 which is a fusible 1 ohm 1/2 watt was blown and they put a 2.2k across it which got roasted. The vertical IC was blown and when I went to replace it, I noticed all the pads were lifted and one trace was altogether gone. They also had the wrong type transistor on Q 902 and had destroyed the pads and traces on the bottom. Long story short it was many night work but I rebuilt and got it going.
