Having another child recently has made keeping this around unfeasible…I just don’t have the time to enjoy this anymore & feel this should go to someone else that’ll appreciate it. Reluctantly willing to let this go…
This Capcom Progear B board is 100% original on original code (never reprogrammed) as issued by Capcom USA (has original program roms w/handwritten Capcom foil labels). This is the rarest of the rare USA B boards you will come across today with something like only 30-60 made in this specific region. B board is fully working without issue; its battery has been replaced with a long life Tadiran TL-2150 3.6v 1/2AA axial battery with July 2021 date code. Label is original and unpeeled. Board and case are very clean with some minor superficial case marks on B board. Case on A&B have no cracks.
The CPS2 A board it comes with is USA region & fully working with buttons perfectly intact. Its fan has been upgraded to a Papst 612 F2/L for ultra quiet operation. Boardset will also comes with two (2) original Capcom case clips & four (4) original feet.
This will also come with original Capcom USA issued Progear movestrips which have never been scanned in the public domain. For some reason, Capcom ended up shipping some of these USA kits with Asian region movestrips; however, those movestrips (with a brown text background) are different from these USA issued movestrips whose orange background correctly matches the marquee that would’ve originally been issued with this. These USA movestrips have PG2520-01 and 02 serial numbers on them, along with “CAPCOM USA INC” contained in text on the bottom. Strips appear to be printed on some type of semiglossy/matte paper with a white paper backing (no adhesive). Again, these are original as printed by Capcom USA and rare as can be considering these weren’t issued often & if so wouldn’t have survived unused in normal operational arcade settings. Strips are very flat, with a couple of creases (these are common to see in movestrips of this era). To avoid any acidity damage from touching other paper, I currently have these in a makeshift protective clear polyethylene sleeve & these will be shipped in them & between two pieces of cardboard to ensure they arrive to you as flat as possible.
I will ship everything you see here double-boxed; boards and movestrips will be in a Protective Pak box & placed in a larger box.
