So I finally bit the bullet on a nice PVM (PVM-20M2MDU/ST), and was happy to pay a bit of a premium to get something fully working from a proper store that knows how to ship these things. Well... I was promised a custom crate and was given a cardboard box with little to no packaging. Fortunately, the seller gave me a full refund and asked me to keep the monitor, but the bezel has been totally destroyed. I do not see this being a bondo job. Pictures attached. Of the two options, I'm hoping someone here can help with #1:
  1. Find a replacement bezel, or even a non-working monitor. Having been given a full refund, a used for-parts model doesn't seem too bad.
  2. Print standoffs and laser cut an acrylic "bezel". It would be purely aesthetic but may be somewhat unique.
As for the handles, I was going to either print some or even get extra fancy and machine aluminum replacements.

Lastly, is there anything I should specifically check on this? It turned on and the picture looked fine, but who knows if something is teetering.

Maybe find another monitor and keep as a backup after swapping the bezel. It’s a bummer that happened but at least you received a refund. It seems like this happens to all the PVMs that get shipped in a box.

I’ll take a free cosmetically broken pvm any day.
