How about a 400-5330-03?
This is the one with the extra 100VAC output.

thanks for sharing.

i have that psu too, but its only 110v? can it be modded for 220v?

We just recapped @PascalP SUN PSU 400-5443, the values are a little bit different for his. Voltage for C11, C13, C15 and C16 are different (lower). The location of the hidden cap is C26. Also it has 3 2200uF 10V caps and 1 2200uF 16V cap like the 400-5443-02 revision.

Was a fun night, the Aoyue desolder station proved its value again ;)
Also while we where at it we replaced the PSU fan with a Noctua NF-A8-ULN and it is dead silent now, even on 12v without the additional adapter to lower the RPM's even further.
Highly recommended!

so far i haven't done much to my sun PSU (i really should do that recap some time...) but i did replace the fan fan for a noctua - changeing the fans for anything arcade in a home environment is such an upgrade since i simply don't run the volume i would need to drown out these original fans....

Hi! :)

Does anyone know the value of the 2 Trimmer potentiometers to adjust +5v and +3.3V I would like to change them with stronger potentiometers and with an adjustment Shaft.
An idea ?

Thank you nem

which model do you suggest with an included adjustment rod ?

I haven't looked. I think you might have problems finding ones that will go through the holes. You'll probably have to enlarge them.

Thanks for posting all this very helpful, especially the cap map. I just rebuilt and repaired a 400-5397-01 which seems to be the most common version. It was missing +5v after the recap turned out to be a bad resistor by the fan plug a 4.7k that had rusted in half. After replacing the resistor I wasn't able to adjust the 5v and it was too high, this was a bad pot. Both voltage control pots are 5mm 500 ohms. Finally I replaced the fan with a ARCTIC F8-80 mm which is cheap and also a perfect replacement much quieter than the original, you will have to splice in the old power plug though.

For the : 400-5397-01

1000uF 10V 10mm 1 C21
1000uF 16V 10mm 1 C21

The one I had was definitely 10V. Likely different batches.

You can always go higher voltage, just be mindful of physical size.

Yes i know, but if you can edit your post for 16v ;)
