Super Puzzle fighter - 2nd player no sound effects?

Don't know if anyone else is experiencing this but if you play on the 2nd player side you don't get any sound when flipping the colors around (music and everything still plays but the sound effect of flipping gems doesn't work) ... Can someone else try it on their setup and confirm?
 
I'll give it a test today and let you know.
 
Make sure you have the newest rom pack. There is another old thread where this was resolved.
 
Hmmm, guess I won't have to test now. My rompack was from Mitsu when he installed the kit for me a few months ago so I'm assuming mine won't have the issue.
 
i tried setting sound to mono and still the same issue... Weird. Can anyone link me to the latest? I think I'm already running the latest rompack. Any chance it's an old version included in the latest release of rom pack? Anyone actually tried the game and confirm it is/isn't working?
 
I'll give mine a try then. Give it about 12 hours from now for results.
 
So yeah same thing with my setup, no sound for player 2.
 
Damn... Anyone got a fix? I have an original board that I just desuicide but would be nice to have a fully working version on the multi setup.
