Hey all, I grabbed what was advertised as a Zn-2 A board, but I got it and it plainly says Zn-1 on it. Given the similarities between the two with the rom board on, I wanted to check before I sent it back if any Zn-2 A boards are labeled ZN-1.

I’ll give you two guesses for what is silkscreened on a zn-2 base pcb

I just wanted to be sure before I returned, since I knew all that stuff was based off PS1 architecture, I didn’t know where the improvements lay between them, and if you look at the ZN-1 and ZN-2 A board components, south of what the rom board covers they’re identical. Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a Midway Durango/Vegas interchangeable situation.

The differences, based on system16, which might be wrong, appears to be the RAMS?

ZN1
Main RAM: 2 Megabytes
Video RAM: 2 Megabytes
ZN2
Main RAM: 2/4/8 Megabytes depending on game.
