At this point iIt's not just a problem of customer support or transparency: BadAssConsoles opened pre-orders for his gcvideo solution back in mid-2016.
I pre-ordered a digital + analog solution, paid $150 usd for it.
Six months later, still no product, but he then told everyone he was changing the solution to gcvideoX, and that was supposed to be better but was delaying delivery. Ok, fair enough.
After several more months of nothing, people starting asking question, but by then he was never replying to anybody.
I think that a few people got lucky and were actually refunded, but he ignored most.
Also by then the Paypal protection had run out.
It's been three years now.
Look at angry comments on his old gcvideo posts on twitter, or read forums: he took money from dozens of people (me included) who never received anything, and he just ignores any email. He took the money and acts as if he didn't. He sits on a lot of money that doesn't belong to him.
That guy has become a scam. And I say 'has become' because he used to deliver. I bought a few products from him, and while it always took very long for him to ship and communication was always bad, at least he was shipping them.
Bottom line: stay FAR from him, he's basically a thief now.
