I fixed the weird interference issue. I removed IC80 and verified it against the boot rom set. I noticed the PCB is blistering in a few places, one of them right under IC80. The delamination separated the ground via to one of the chip legs. I ran a jumper wire and it cleared the main graphics issues.
Some fonts still don’t look quite right and I have no sound. Volume pot is up. Might need a recap on sound section?
I think this menu is supposed to be a black background.
Blue... I hope you are able to get it working, I seriously love Super Buster Bros.
I've even got a Infinikey installed on mine (ie uses encrypted/original ROMs zero battery).
