HI I'm an arcade addict, currently I have 10 cabs, ranging from a 1979 Universal Cocktail (Cosmic Alien) to a Vewlix C
Started collecting cabs around 2 years ago and the Vewlix was my first cab.

Love fighting games and Sega Racing games and console gaming too.

Looking for: 2 player Vewlix F CP
Just don't get the Shadaloo reproduction! ;)

While it's true Taito stopped selling the 2P Vewlix F kits, you can still order all the pieces individually to make your own official panel.

Control plate
Joystick mounting plate (need 2)
Vewlix F control panel overlay/sticker
Vewlix 2J12B control harness

I've got these parts ordered/coming, only with a Diamond control panel overlay/sticker.
I'll post about it once I've got it all together.

Welcome!

Next Arcade Addict meeting is Thursday at 7:00 P.M.

I saw the post with the Shadaloo one, oh my what a disaster
my current Vewlix L style one fits ok, maybe I should just get an overlay sticker?
did you order your parts from Taito directly?

did you order your parts from Taito directly?
Yup, email Yugo (Taito parts specialist) and ask him for the pieces/parts you are looking for.

You must meet minimum order requirement (I think 100$ or so), Yugo will created a purchase invoice with the part number(s) and shipping address you provide.
Then you'll sign/return the PI, and complete the Bank Transfer in JPN Yen into the account specified on the invoice.
Once he receives the funds, the order is shipped out (provided the parts are in stock) via EMS.

Thank you for the contact
I've emailed Yugo, Fingers Crossed :)

I've had a reply from Taito
but I'm unable to check the part numbers via Google
are these the right items?

Thanks for your inquiry.
Please check the following quotation.

Thats some very expensive wiring harness !!

thanks for your help with this :)

Thank Ian too, he clued me into the Joystick bracket part... I had assumed the mounting bracket was included with the plate. :)

Also, yea man I feel the pain of that wire harness!

The way I see it, I've got one cab (Capcom) that is 100% Taito stock parts (JAMMA kit/LCD/etc).
The other cab (Diamond) I'm going to turn into a highbreed based on the OSSC scaler and a HAS (once RGB restocks). :D

I hope this will give me greater overall compatibility in JAMMA, I sold my MK2 when I couldn't get it working with the Taito scaler.
I still have the Super Buster Bros, maybe the OSSC will work with it... I just setup the OSSC with the NES however, too many toys. ;)

Ooh nice
So is there a way to confirm those part numbers are the right overlay?
I'll reuse my existing harnesses to make this a little (lot!) cheaper lol

Yea but you'll be missing the K side (it's very different from the J side)... It's a smaller connector, hard to source, and you'll have to wire up a hack solution because they share common grounds, both DC and earth.

If you are sticking with the stock JVS amp or FastIO amp I highly recommend you also use the stock harness.
If you are replacing/hacking something in, then yes go homemade.

Oh I've already got a 2 player panel been using it with the stock JVS io for nearly 2 years
Just my panel was for an L so it's black and would like a red one
I've still got the original single player capcom panel too

Thanks for all the help with this
