Hey! Its been quite a busy day as I wrap up all of these projects. This is one from my buddy Mike and I's combined labs aka Cavalier Mannitude. Its a Panzer Fight Stick twisted with all of the NEO-GEO layouts. A while back coin-ops in Japan did a similar thing but with a little less pizzazz...

Features:

1. Panzer Fight Stick Construction
2. EZ Build System (plug and play assembly).
3. Digitally Printed to the case NEO-GEO Candy Cab inspired graphics.
4. DB15 output.
5. On the Fly Layout Modification. Simply twist the knob to get to the layout you want.
6. Three different layouts to fit anyone's NEOGEO desires. LEDs change to show which buttons are activated. Colors match the NEO-GEO ABCD colors.
7. Sega inspired layout (its more comfortable in all forms of the NG layouts).
8. Sanwa Buttons and Lever. Seimitsu would work equally as well.

Concerns with latency? Don't. The O-scope tests show that this 16Mhz processor is polling for presses and outputting them (mapped of course) faster than you, me, or the hardware can identify. If you think its affecting your game... maybe its you :)

That is a show stopper. The button layout knob is brilliant.

The spirit and execution of the art really does look OEM. Hey, I wonder if you could help Darksoft design labels for his Neo Geo AES and MVS Multis? I think something striking, bright, and uplifting (like your designs) are exactly what the carts could use.

my comment - I would like to see an standard DB15 model.. where you can have all 7 buttons working and can be arrange for different configuration.. Like the 6 buttons fighting to be stand layout and them for NeoGeo move things around.. I got used to using the 6 button (h kick) as the 4th button for NeoGeo game fighting games.. the rest of the layout are not comfortable for me. Also, the change knob should be on the front of the stick or on the side away for the view..

Not to be dismissive of feedback (I do appreciate it, honest!) but its not changing at all. Here's why:

1. This is designed to be a NEO-GEO stick only. Crazy since I try to make things work on as much as possible but this is for the NEO-GEO setups; built and designed 100% around that alone.
2. This is modeled after the Japanese Candy Cabs with selectable NEO-GEO layouts used in cabinets, right down to the knob being on top. If I had more room to put it to the left of the lever like the cabs, I would have. Since that wasn't a viable option I made one compromise and put it to the right of the buttons.

Are these deal killers for some? Probably. At the end of the day its fine as this is not designed for everyone nor is it trying to be more than what it was designed to be: A NEO-GEO arcade stick.

I understand and that is why I started the comment with..... I would like to see an standard DB15 model:)

:)

I think you would have really like the VERY FIRST Panzer I ever made which kicked everything off. It was a plain jane 7 button layout with a single DB15 on the back.

Keep in mind... this one does have a DB15 on it for output, thats it. The electronics inside are for button mapping only. I am planning on a glam video and proper photos today/tomorrow.

Panzer Fight Stick 3: NG Infomercial. It was a lot of fun working on this project and then working with some of the new camera gear I recently picked up. Enjoy!
