Official Nintendo brand Gamecube D-Terminal cable along with a D-Terminal to component adapter (ran ~$35 on its own).

$140 shipped in the US.

I've given up on the Gamecube after all my issues with the WASP and am just going to use a WiiU and a GBA Consolizer moving forward...

Also willing to trade for complete US 3DS and Vita titles that I don't already own (going for a full set of each).

This is your chance to get a GC component cable just by clearing a few games off your shelf you'd forgotten about. Who even plays Vita anyway!?

Recommend the D-Terminal cable / adapter combo for anyone with a Framemeister as the D-Terminal plugs directly in *AND* you can use it on a regular Component TV set with the adapter.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing man... I'm already playing all my GC games/ISOs on Wii U (Wii VC mode Nintendon't homebrew).
I just need that nice GBA consolizer.

I got in on the lottery pre-order thing back in.... November? Paid for my case a couple of weeks ago. Just need another GBA to put it on.

So, not terribly interested in trades for the most part, but I could use a Consolizer compatible GBA, or an orange GBC!

Dropped the price a bit :)

Kind of surprised at no bites. Maybe the HDMI mod scene negated everyone's need for these?

Money is good. Switch games are good too (especially European exclusives).

Yea I was thinking the same thing.
These component cables hit 250$+ at one point, now I guess back to "normal". :P

I have no clue why anyone would want to play GameCube in HDMI. Component on a CRT reigns supreme.

I suspect most of the people interested in this HDMI Gamecube adapter have LCDs.
Because you are totally right, if you have a analog display you NEED analog input.

What's really funny to me is listing to Smash Bros. fans talk about why you shouldn't play Smash on Wii U with Nintendon't.
"OMG its got almost 2 frames (16ms) of lag" they say!
Then, will actually recommend a Gamecube with component cables and a xRGB Mini... Uh... Hello, also has 16ms of lag.

Basically you are NOT going to play Gamecube games via HDMI without some lag, the digital conversion process is simply unavoidable.
The only lagless solution is what you recommended, EDTV (not HDTV because again digital conversion lag) CRT with component.

I only have LCDs and a OLED, so I can't really compare... I can tell you that when it comes to actual Gamecube games I use a Wii U with Nintendon't.
The only thing I actually use the Gamecube for is playing Gameboy Advanced with the homebrew GBI.

IMO GC is a really weak Nintendo system (maybe the worst if you don't count Virtuaboy)...

I don't like Smash Bros.
I don't like Mario Sunshine
I don't like Zelda WW
I don't like Metroid Prime
I don't like Double Dash (its not awful but MK8DX blows all the others away)
I don't even like the controller with its wacky huge A button
So what do I like/play?

F-Zero AX/GX
Pikmin
Luigi's Mansion

I think we can all agree out of that (6th) Generation (PS2, Xbox, GC) the winner was PS2, the runner up was Xbox, GC was the underdog/trash (sales figures reflect this).

BTW notice how they count Dreamcast as part of the 6th Generation?
Can you guess why I don't?

DC was officially discontinued in 2001, before the launch of the Xbox and Gamecube...
As both systems were not officially for sale at the same time, they are NOT in the same Generation.

No.

That depends on the type of games you like. I can think of a few Halo fans who disagree.

It's no surprise you didn't like the GC, you don't like any of the signature titles that the younger crowd enjoys.

Seeing as you don't like Smash, this makes sense. The controller was basically made for it.

So wait, does this mean you haven't played:
  • Eternal Darkness
  • Baten Kaitos
  • Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
  • Wario World
  • Super Monkey Ball 2
  • Ultimate Muscle
  • Custom Robo
  • Donkey Konga
  • Starfox Adventures
  • Paper Mario: TTYD
  • Rogue Squadron 2
  • Twilight Princess!?
That's not even counting games with multiple releases at the time, which were better on Gamecube (Megaman X Command Mission or Soul Calibur 2 with Link?), or the initial releases that were later released on other consoles (RE:4, RE:0, Tales of Symphonia, OOT: Master Quest, Viewtiful Joe, Killer 7). Theres even some "okay" exclusives worth playing.

I think you're entitled to your own opinion, but I think overall you're being a little hard on the system. Not every game was on par with Big Mutha Truckers.

Ikaruga has the best port on GC as well. It’s got the most extras out of the subsequent ports.

Also the GC was responsible for Resident Evil 4, which was ground breaking for the series.

@opt2not - Agreed. I started out with Ikaruga on GC too. It was more accessible to a teenager with a part-time minimum wage job at the time.

@rewrite - Right!? Talk about a surprise underrated game!

Some may call heresy, but I think Skies of Arcadia was better on GC too.

Got my start on Ikaruga on the GameCube too. Skipped the PAL version and went straight to a Freeloader and NTSC-US version for the 60hz.

@jassin000 your list of games you "don't like" on the system is the exact list of games that I "do like" (among many others) on the system. No wonder it's not for you.

Also, not debating PlayStation 2 sold more units at all. I equally enjoy PS2, Dreamcast, GameCube and the OG Xbox, especially on a CRT or PVM ;) Not fussed what generation they were, just fussed that they all have awesome games, ports and exclusives!

So wait, does this mean you haven't played:

Eternal Darkness

Baten Kaitos

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Wario World

Super Monkey Ball 2

Ultimate Muscle

Custom Robo

Donkey Konga

Starfox Adventures

Paper Mario: TTYD

Rogue Squadron 2

Twilight Princess!?
Eternal Darkness: didn't play
Baten Kaitos: didn't play
Fire Emblem: didn't like (and still don't, I won't play these on 3DS either)
Wario World: oh snap I forgot about this one, yea I like the series a lot!
Super Monkey Ball 2: Meh its OK, but the real star of the Monkey Ball world IMO is Step Roll on Wii (because you use the balance board).
Ultimate Muscle: didn't play (don't even know what this is, some kind of wrestling game?)
Custom Robo: Its OK, I should maybe pick it up again and give it another shot.
Donkey Konga: Gimmick city and for a rhythm game I didn't even find the music selection enjoyable, so that's a epic failure don't you think?
Starfox Adventures: Are you fucking kidding me?! That game needs to burn in hell, it ruined Starfox as a series for me, I have to pretend they stop at 64 just to sleep at night.
Paper Mario: While I do appreciate that this is a good game, and the closest thing we'll ever get to a Super Mario RPG 2, I just didn't personally like it. ;)
Rogue Squadron 2: I don't play Movie games, this could be the best game in the entire world and I'd never know. If the game is based on movie properties of any kind, its dead to me.
Twilight Princess: I played it on Wii, and I hated it... Just like with Starfox, I need to pretend that NONE of the 3D Zelda's (also NES 2) ever happened. That's NOT what Zelda is to me!

TTYD was a bore. I liked Paper Mario 64.

SFA is fine if you look at it like it's a game in the SF universe, not a SF game, y'know?

Not playing Eternal Darkness is doing yourself a disservice.

Totally agree on Donkey Konga, the track selection is painful. I wonder if DKK2 or 3 were any good.

The Rogue Squadron games aren't based on a movie. They were at least excellent at the time, though I'm not sure how they've aged.
