Damn those are nice and your only hop skip and jump away. Good luck with the sale.

I have this same exact cab configuration/combo and it is my most favorite/priced of the three.
Believe it or not that price is also very fair considering the price of all these parts direct from Taito.

But... D man whats going on? First the Cutes now the VLX? Are you done with the hobby? Noooooo!

Not in the slightest, just too many cabs. I have 7 crts cab that are projects all 29" crt ones, 7 vewlixs which I love, then there are the cutes, sega dino king, groove coaster, Initial D7, so yeah, Im out of spare buddy. i want to get some new stuff, so some things gotta go. If they dont sell for the price I want, they they go to storage, till I buy a bigger house :D

Space is always a problem. If I had space I would buy everything you are selling.

If space was no issue (or money for that matter) I'd get into pinz.

I sold the bulk of my pinballs to fit more cabs. :P

Space is space, you always gotta juggle. I'm down to 3 pinballs now, and they still take up a bunch of room.

Pins just take up alot of awkward space in a way, both vertically and horizontally :) , still I want to get a metallica, star trek, and now a stranger things.

I definitely need to get a pin one day when I get the space.

Oh yeah, if you have any of my wanted pcbs, that can help offset the cost of the cabs with a partial trade + cash :D

I tell people it's a dumb hobby, stay away. Big, expensive, heavy, cost too much, always breaking. You're using high voltage to slam a one and one sixteenth steel bearing around inside a wood box full of fragile plastic and sensitive switches. What at terrible idea. :P

The games I've held onto are my Metallica LE, a modded Tron Pro, and The Shadow.

I had a Stern Star Trek, sold it after a bit, didn't hold my interest. I did a fun alt art package for it that sold well enough to pay for the machine before Stern sent me a C&D (understandably). If you ever see a Star Trek with this translite check the lower left corner of it for my name.

Sweet xmas :D , the star trek is for the wife, the metallica and now the stranger things would be for me. Fucking sweet translite, Ive seen it on a couple of peoples pins, so yeah when I get one, if it doesnt have it, gonna need you to hook me up. Have you played the AC/DC one, I havent yet, was considering that one as well. Need to go play it.

Yeah, I had ACDC too. I let it go, but it's a fun game. I did an alt translite for Star Trek, ACDC, and The Shadow, those are the three I'm known for. That photo above has them all in it. Stern asked me nicely to stop doing the ones for their games. I still do runs of The Shadow at times.

I've been absent from the pinball scene for a bit. I was the creative director on the Alien pinball, and the project kinda ended badly, bummed me out and sucked some of the joy out of the hobby. Mixing passion and work is dangerous sometimes.

I had a lot of design time sunk into a pretty cool (imo) mod for Metallica, free of any trademark issues, and I just never finished it. I keep thinking I will some day, and can't seem to get the momentum back. I did a limited run of custom hammers for people with the LE/Premium that was a lot of fun, hand sculpted with laser cut/etched leather and metal spikes around a 3D printed core. Pinball mods were something I had a lot of fun with for years.

Kinda derailing your thread, sorry, heh. Free bumps!

Damn, that was you? Awesome job on that man. Definitely would love to do that mod, if I dont get a pin with the mod already. Definitely some awesome creative skills

Yeah...I've got Star Trek:Pro that's beautifully modded, Judge Dredd, DE Jurassic Park, Twilight Zone, and a LW3. Saving space in the next house for Addams family, Sorcerer, Space Shuttle, and Joker Poker, and I should be done.

They are beats...but I made my arcade, specifically to recreate some of my childhood growing up...and pinballs, my arcade pcb's and my roadblaster cockpit were a big chunk of it....no matter how bulky they are.

Were those screens new when you got em? FCs are some of my favorite cabs- I feel like they have some definite benefits over the DBs and such after those (1080p) monitors are in em.

The FC monitor (Sanwa) is trash! Sure its one of the lowest lag ever used...
But thats ALL it has going for it, the colors/contrast is washed out/not vivid and it only gos to 1360x768.

The Diamond Blacks are the best monitors (IPS Alpha or Phillips branding I believe).
Great colors, perfect contrast, better blacks (notice I didn't say perfect because no LCD is you need OLED for that) and it dose 1920x1080 (1080p).

With each passing day, the best monitor for VLX seems to be the one you build yourself once @Hadouken Arcade releases his bracket/kit.
I believe LG will make a 32" OLED someday (right now 55" is the smallest you can buy in OLED).

The buzz currently is centered around freesync monitors, which if you use a OSSC is a godsend.
Without freesync the OSSC will likely need to be paired with a iScan DVDO (VP30/50/50pro ONLY) to adjust the sync or it will not display anything PERIOD.
If you are only interested in DVI/HDMI/VGA none of that is applicable to you.
