Man, you Aussies sure got a fire sale going on lately.
I also would love to snap this one up even though I don't have TATE set up.

If Xtra falls through I'll take it.

Holy Shit. After 2 long months this thing finally arrived! A tip for all foreign sellers to the US, always grab the customs form number because in the US we can use that number to track inbound packages!

We thought this one was lost, but after exactly 60 days, it was delivered!

Thanks @oneleaf86 it works great!

That was incredibly poor, poor taste. The incredible devastation we and our wildlife suffered is not a joking matter.
Yes it was, but @psykom1 is a good dude and surely didn't mean anything by it (or than an off color joke). I think we arcade PCB collectors have a bit of off humor in all of us.

Please let this go and instead focus on the great transaction that happened in the thread. Don't let that little joke sour your tase of the forums or of him, we're all mostly cool here!

Yep, sorry about that I know is old and I should not derail the thread, it just struck a very raw nerv. My favourite show is Archer, so as far as me and off humour goes, that says it all ;)
Just to clarify, and step in...
I mean no ill-will. I have co-workers in the AUS region when the entire situation was going down.
Life on this earth to me is what it is, and I come from Chicago.
I've lived way too many lives to realize what true life is worth, and I should have been dead 10 times over.
If I struck any cord, it was not out of malice, just my dark, twisted humor from being hardened by life.
A man knows when he's to admit when he's wrong, and I was wrong.
How in the hell we're still talking about this months later is beyond me.
Cheers and stay healthy.

Fair enough. I think the thing that got me was that it was said in January when it was still going on. As I said, it just struck a raw nerve when I read it. It was a devastating thing and I don't think people overseas know exactly just how devastating it was. 100,000's square hectres lost, over 500,000 Koalas not to mention all the other animals. I could not look at the news because it made me cry everytime.

It would be like me saying "Wow, you Yanks have prices falling from the sky!" after 9/11. I can just imagine how THAT would have gone down.

New Yorker from 2001 here. I get your point, but I'm here to shed some light on the culture.

1. "Yanks" - None of us get offended by that term. We've been called Yankees since 1776, made up a song and dance for it too. We even got a baseball team named after it.

I was really confused when my Southern GF expected me to get mad at it. My initial response was "Yea, I'm a fucking Yankee. What of it?"

2. Saying "Wow, you Yanks have prices falling from the sky!" wouldn't really work either because shit falls from the sky all the time. How am I supposed to think of a plane? Even if you said "Your prices are the bomb!" that's a hard sell because that phrase is already in our lexicon. Saying "Your prices comin' down like a controlled demolition" loses it punch with too many words.

My point is, were not that sensitive. This culture is used to facing soul sucking criticism to get ahead of everything else.

If one thing pissed anyone off post 9/11, it was the dancing in the streets celebrating the attack.

I just find it ironic that the culture clash here is being perpetrated with additional wrong stereotypes.

No harm done, just my two cents while pushing the "beat an old thread" meme. (Not that I promote violence or ageism, mind you)

Yanks was not meant as an insult. It is just a slang term, like "Aussie" or whatever for us. People can hate on me all they want. I stand by my comments.
