If they saw your signature @jassin000 and how legit it was they wouldn't laugh. I have to say I didn't expect to buy a Vewlix but got one during the fire sale and am so happy I did. Dealing with Cereth is great and a new cab was/is just so awesome. They're great.

Surprised the diamond black monitors can't be changed to 4/3 aspect ration but that's a whole different story.

Also who is @Jassin2?

Says here I'm Ratt.

“kids today are driving the market just like we did when we were kids and the kids of today don't care about these games.“ 110% agree here..

serious questions - SF5 arcade version, what is the difference between that version in the arcade and the PS4 version? Is there an actual full finished arcade mode where you play the CPU and every character has his/her animated story like SF4? Also, does the Arcade version of SF5 demands that you logon online on every single match? Is there advertising on that version before every match?

I purchased the latest SF5 on PS4.. I was, what the F, this seems like the based game.. I looked inside the game case, an F’Ing activation code.. I was pissed because every reviewer out there failed to mentioned the activation code.. I could not return the game and I could not trade the F’ng game because the trade value was 2 dollars more than the based game. Also, the arcade mode is broken and unfinished, no true story or video per character, advertising screen every where and the thing that pissed me off the most, the game wanted me to logon online for every F’ng match, I just want to play against the CPU without all that nonsense.

SF5 Arcade Type:

No animated stories... arcade mode is much like PS4/PC: you play a series of CPU fights and get a text dump over still images.

It's always online (you can choose whether or not to take fight requests from other players online) but I imagine that could be disconnected like most NESICA/All.net games.

No advertising before matches but that can be turned off on console/PC as well.

Biggest disappointment about the arcade version is that there's serious, noticeable input latency in the Vewlix monitors they used for it. Unconscionable for a fighting game.

Thanks for the feedback.. that’s disappointing to hear, basically the PS4/PC version.

I asked last night and the "official" word from TAITO is, any plans to produce new cabinets or make more Vewlixes was halted due to difficulty with the global pandemic. Take that as you will. Who knows, that means maybe they haven't actually decided to end Vewlix for good.

Don't believe the spin... Taito didn't have to liquidate the Diamond Black last fall, they decided to do that to clear out inventory/saw demand falling. That was also a good 6~8 months before anyone knew WTF convid-19 was, or what it would come to mean to the world in 2020.

Reading between the lines what I hear them saying "we might revive the design at some future point based on demand".
Bout as non-committal as you can get, but remember they are in biz to make money and if they think a substantial market exists it will return.

Prey for a new lime green VLX Diamond! ;)
so. you're telling me it's time to increase the cost of my Taito CP harnesses... LOOOL (I'm kidding. I promise.)

@Cereth BTW - can you see if these cabs are available for sale? Looks like a giant iphone, but still would make a nice multiplayer cab. I like tennis games as well, plus Im thinking maybe Ill Install that Pac-man Battle Royale boardset I have in there. It should work nicely with other 3/4p games as well.

The 4P Virtua Tennis 4 cabinet was manufactured by Tecnoplay in Italy. They still have some stock (both used and new): https://www.tecnoplay.com/en/

@Cereth, just want to say thanks for taking the time to regularly upload videos to YouTube. I think I've watched everything on your channel (even the videos about stuff I'm not specifically interested in). Your passion is obvious and I love the uber-niche nature of your content. Every video always includes some detail or other piece if info that I wasn't aware of.

I know it can be tough to ascertain how other are receiving the content when some videos don't get a ton of views or comments. I just wanted to let you know that I (and I bet many others) really appreciate your efforts and knowledge.

Looking forward to picking up a VLX or two from you in one of your next few batches. Thanks again.

Cheers.

Appreciate it! No worries, I largely do it for myself. If anything I post is worth anything, it'll get views and I shouldn't be concerned with whether it does or not.

Update on this end, container did clear customs earlier this week and is getting unloaded today. Haven't gotten a booking to have it dropped off over here yet, but I did get a proper warehouse with a dock. Should make all future unloads a lot easier. This one should come in this weekend or Mon/Tues probably.

TAITOTECH order shipped, should be here end of the week.

Next container should ship in 2 weeks or so, but don't have a scheduled ship date yet.

Container has been unloaded, TAITOTECH order shipment got delayed until Monday.

Photo album for container unload, for now. More processing to come over the next week or so. STI is not servicing my area next week, so cabs getting shipped might be brought to LA so that they can go out sooner. I'll contact buyers individually to discuss what we'll do. Short time to decide, but plenty of time after to execute.

If it is not listed for sale, it is not for sale. Yes I know, Astro City 2s. They aren't listed for a reason.

Astro City 2! Hope you're keeping them for yourself Cereth, very obscure cab :)

I just picked up a pair of the original Bose AC2 speakers from Yaton to replace the ones in my cab which weren't original.

Ill take the Astro City 2 with the gameboards, Im serious :D

So many cool cabs in this lot, those C look minty.

Again will contact people individually when I can, but for now posting here so that at least info is out. STI is not picking up this week, so its going to be 2 weeks before anything leaves, if I ship from here. I might put the stuff on the truck to LA and ship from there so that we can get shipments out sooner. Will be in touch with people individually, but I checked shipping prices and there's literally no difference between shipping from Reno (not a hub) and LA (a hub) right now. I'll probably have all future shipments come to Reno if that is the case.

I may not be doing this delivery trip myself. I'm very over-extended at the moment and my colleague in LA will probably handle all the deliveries. I'll still honor all agreements made, and Phil can still help moving cabs in where they need to go!

I would not mind trying to import one of these if the price was reasonable.
