Hi everyone, I am MagicianLord77, from Montevideo, Uruguay, I was always interested in having my own real arcade machine but never got the opportunity to buy one, until some days ago where I got two Sega Aero City cabinets from an auction house! So I'm here to learn how to maintain them as they deserve (they got some rust outside and a lot of dust inside), I am learning purpose of every component inside them so I can restore the machines to top arcade performance! And after that enjoy them a lot, in fact, I am already enjoying them but they got some issues, joysticks are kind of loose and stiff, one monitor sometimes behaves odd, but it will be getting better and better as I spend time with them.

Have a nice day!

¡Saludos desde Costa Rica! What I'd do first of all is to check the internal wiring, the PSU and the monitor. Recap the monitor and the psu. Install some nice sanwa buttons plus 2 LS-32 joysticks and let the fun begin!!

Gracias! Thanks!, yes!, they both have two Seimitsu LS-32 joysticks installed, I was inspecting them, and trying to decide if it was worth it to replace the worn plastic parts of them or spend in complete new joysticks, I don't know if repairing is worth it? at the moment I don't care much about the looks (stick's shaft is a bit rusty), I want them to feel good so I can play nice and beat the computer AI lol. You are right about the recap, that's the first thing I'm gonna do after cleaning all the grime inside the cabinet, and wires.. Thanks for the advice!

Bienvenido.

2 Aero Cities to start off? Lucky!

So jelly (envious).
