What's new
I’m at a loss (and yes, you got a nice install there)...it’s definitely not a ram issue based on what comes up in the test menu (my failing ram way back when came up as NG when I would test). I think you could have a (new) SIMM issue after all.

maybe interference with HDMI mod?
I ran JAMMA this in my sega blast with the same graphic error you saw.

This cps2 digital av mod taps video and audio signals and is documented by marqs.

again, this ran perfectly well with superbios and original simms.

Memory test OK
CD ROM hangs when you unplug scsi2sd
That test is a remanent of the original BIOS and is intended to check only a setup with both original cart and original Simms.

I've seen that same error again when you've got either:
a) Simms not written properly or inserted in the wrong spot
b) Dip switch cable not making proper contact.

Got it. I think B is the more in line with my issue.
I was at @mathewbeall’s place while he wrote the simms and tested them. They were written and verified by the proman and worked fine at the time.

I did notice how flimsy the cable was after moving it out of my cab

After pushing these down, I still had the error on the first video, which I didn’t touch the cables, but removing the top of the case it worked again. It’s been stable since, but I’m still removing power and the cart to test later on if it comes back up.

HSS did reach out to me this morning and will send a cable over. I will continue testing them once I’ve received it.

That cable doesn’t look like it’s making good contact. It should be flush and flat down on the pins as per the photos in the guide.

Correct. I stated that. The top of the cap was easily removed due to transport. The daisy chain caps are flimsy. They are sending a new one and I’ll continue to test.

If you watched the video, I zoom into the caps to show they are flush. Both before and after the glitch. All I did was remove the lid and it was working again. Hopefully this new cable is stronger than this one
