So I thought I had SF2 Rainbow but I think it is some other ROM hack, I tried to erase to proms and convert to SF2:HF and now I'm getting nothing but a black screen. Now EPROMS 21-23 we're clearly reprogrammed or replaced because they were the only ones not to have original CAPCOM stickers on them. I did back up the ROMs before I erased them and so to try to figure out what was going wrong I tried to locate which bootleg this was. I did a CRC check on the files and this is what I came up with.
#21 CRC = 4b26fde7
#22 CRC = 95fbcc3e
#23 CRC = 52c486bb
Googling led me to the CRC for #23 matching "sf2red.21" but is the wrong ROM number, CRC for #21 matches for "sf2v004.22" but can't find anything that matches the CRC form ROM #23. I'm going to try to restore the ROMs to see if I can bring the game back but any help or suggestions would be helpful.
I do know that fireballs in this version could be made to curve up and down, and during some blocking animation frames Ryu's sprite would become Blanka for a frame or two.
