Switched cps3 cart from showcase to blast city and game wont get past loading screen.

I just purchased a blast city and put my cps3 darksoft in it and it wouldnt get past the loading screen. I put it back into my showcase cabinet and it works fine. Any ideas what could be the issue? I tested out the blast with a cps2 cart and it worked fine.

If it's version 5.1, it doesn't work in a blast city power supply. I don't know what is is about it, but it just won't power it correctly.

I am not sure about version 5.2, but it looks like the same design so it probably doesn't work either.

Wont even let me go past the load menu. Does a regular cps3 with third strike work on a blast?

I had same issue, two possibilites:
- sd card uncompatible
- sdsci cable is dead.

Did you change the sd card or the cable? Did ya end up getting it working?

It's not a SD card or SCSI cable issue if it works in the Showcase.

Either it's voltages or the SCSI2SD you have is incompatible with the PSU like @BlinG said. Likely the latter since it's failing at loading from the drive.

I had luck with the v5.0a SCSI2SD in my Blast which I sold onto @Joko3 . I haven’t tried my v5.1.
