Looking for Naomi Marvel vs Capcom 2 cart. Preferably Japanese, open for US version. Thanks!

I'm not 100%, but I feel like I remember @santa978 mentioning somewhere here recently about looking to sell an MvC2. Pinging just in case :whistling:

sadly I only have one now for my personal collection, sold the other one locally

Did you buy the one from jjstuff? did you read that that one has 1 Bad Rom?

I was offered $660 U.S. for the extra one I had so I let it go. that's why I suggested the Axunworks CF/NET Dimm
jjsuff did have a 100% working one but is gone

I’d say $250-300 is the right price. I think I sold a very clean one a year ago for like $200 USD.

This hobby has gone to shit price wise. I really don’t get it sometimes.

Agreed; $660 seems a bit weird. Not to police or anything; local sale is a local sale and dude made some bread at the end of the day. Said that's what he was offered and not what he listed it for, so, it is what it is.

Even so, just for future references in case anyone searches up this thread in the future: I took a peek at ebay sold listings when they originally mentioned that it would be "cheaper" to just get a netdimm setup. High-end sales for MvC2 were around ~$350 which, considering the axun listing is at $300, definitely is "more bang for your buck" kinda cheaper...but idk if $350+ is the "going rate". There's /one/ from ebay sold listings right now that went for $500 recently, but considering the other carts that sold just before it float primarily around $300, that one seems to be an outlier, and not really a "trend" or anything.

I think, just my opinion the covid has set prices on some stuff out of wack. I got a dynamo cab and the guy delivered it. I was waiting in my garage for him and I was playing MvC2 just to kill the time when he got here he said he always wanted one and asked how much. I told him I didn't really wanted to sell it and keep making me offers until he made one that I was like ok you can have it. If you guys see it for around $250 just get it. It's a classic and a no brainer. To be honest I kind of have a little bit of sellers regret every time I sell part of my collection. Ebay is not the spot to get a fair price or a good deal, just look at this

Yeah, like I said, it's not like you were listing a cart here for that price; you had a local sale and the guy offered you that price. I have boards I would never let go of either, but, sometimes money talks. It's a different situation altogether and I was just giving eBay sold examples so folks have a reference for interweb market prices in the future if this thread comes up in search results for them and such.

That being said,

You can say the same things about this forum to be fair- that's not a sold listing. You're allowed to list whatever you want for whatever price you want both here and on ebay. Just because that's what they're listing it for, doesn't mean that's what people are buying them for:

@GeeDee you always find the good deals, I try looking for MvC2 on ebay after i read your post not to buy just to see and didn't find any and all the GDroms were $150 and up and netdims $200+

With arcade stuff, there's usually a HUGE difference in the prices of what's sold and what's listed waiting for idiots with more money than brains.

That's why you should just wait until deals pop up and nab them. For timed auctions, use a sniper, never throw down a manual bid.

And don't worry, there's definitely no shortage on GD Rom drives for under $100. NetDIMMs on the other hand have creeped up in price: $200~ for a 512MB one is the norm these days...

Yes I did buy the bad rom one for $299 for the sake of learning more about this hobby on the tech repair perspective. i 100% know what i got myself into. :D Saw his other listing as well. I see IC28 can be repaired by a specialist. Been seeing Ken from https://irepairsega.com/ is the goto person. Still looking for a clean one.

Happy to take a clean one off your hands around that price if you have a come up :) Agreed prices today are beyond crazy.
