CPSIII Street Fighter III 2nd Impact

Hi all,

I recently acquired CPS3 board with Asian version of 2nd impact. I would like to run the Japanese version of the game because of all the censored audio on Asian version, I have two questions:
1- Will the Asian Cart be able run Japanese version of 2nd impact ?
2- If yes, where can I find ISO for Japanese version of the game ?

Correct me if I am wrong, the cart has the bios which determines the region.

Does the Darksoft Superbios require enough SIMMs to write the largest game? If not I'd grab one of those to change region and then in the future you may decide to write other CPS3 games (if you have the correct SIMM config)

You need the max number of SIMMs for the largest game to use the Darksoft cart. It’s worth the upgrade to find the extra memory module/modules and convert the cart. Then it’s just a matter of a CD to enjoy the whole library.

Or you can fully pimp it out with UltraSIMMS.

Can you please explain this in alittle bit more detail, I am fairly new to CPS3 scene. Can I convert 2nd impact to Darksoft super bios and then use his multi game CD to inject 2nd impact into SIMMS in my current 2nd impact SIMM setup ?

You can convert your cart, but DarkSoft might have a few repro cart PCBs that includes the Superbios.

Again you just have to make sure you have enough SIMMS to write the biggest game (SFIII 3rd strike). You would probably also want to have a cart shell 3d printed.

With that you can write any CPS3 game / any region.

If you just wanted to do this, you could use CPS3 ISO Converter and force a region.

cps3_iso_converter_v1.0.exe cap-3ga000.iso cap-3ga000.iso japan

Then just burn to a disc and profit.
