Hi everyone and thanks for letting me join! Have been blowing my allowance and lunch money in arcades for years. Now that I'm an adult...ish, looking into finally picking up a cabinet. Dabbled with restoring a few pachinko machines and looking forward to the challenge of fixing/cleaning up an arcade cabinet.

Would love to learn how to acquire a cabinet from China- always coming across posts out of Guangdong. I am incredibly ignorant of the process so please let me know if this is a bad idea or infeasible. Would love to join a group importing them in.

Looking forward to being an active member :)

Welcome fellow Seattleite! If you're looking for non-candy cabinet (like a Vewlix or something), we have a reputable and friendly local seller on the Eastside who imports cabinets frequently (no candies though). So let us know what you're looking for!

Thanks! I've been perusing posts and it seems like it's considered poor form to even mention the "c word". More like if one pops-up, then you can start asking questions. I'll keep reading posts and let you know. Very much appreciate the info!

not at all. just dont ask cereth for one. he doesnt sell them anymore... just vewlixes and rhythm games. there are others who do though.

I have some project candies I bought from KC and locally I would be willing to part with as well as arcade monitors.

Blast City, Astro City, One Aero City (unrestored)

I wanted to perfect them all but life got to me hard last year and now I have to move them out of my warehouse I sold.

I'm in Bellingham if you want to drive an hour north and check them out. Or I can send you pics. Welcome

welcome! i just recently set up a first time buyers guide, and i think that would be a good start to get a gauge on what to expect from buying candy cabs for the first time. its a work in progress, but its got the info you are looking for. feel free to ask any questions you have. good luck on your journey!

Just saw your guide after I posted- wanted to really dig in and do the research before asking what may be basic questions. Thanks for putting this all together! Makes jumping into this community less intimidating.

Both sound great! Sorry to hear about the downturn- hopefully it will spin back in your favor soon. I'll PM you for additional details. Thanks!

No it was a great sale in the peak of the market. But corporate needs my arcade room dismantled. I’ll send you some pics before they go into the container
