Hello

I have two namco system 256 that has a booting problem of 256 games like tekken 5.1 to dark resurrection

It don't boot those games , but if you manage to put the jumper in 246+ mode all of my soul calibur 2 and 3 boot up with no problems.

Has anyone encounter this kind of problem and has a solution

Yes all drive is brand new ,rom disc is all ok ,cleaned dongle, Cleaned the dongle slot

Black screen and just like that.

But when switching in 246+ and played Soul Calibur 2 and 3 it boots fine without any problem
 
some games are more tricky to get running.... I have 2 systems and none can run tekken4.
I would bet on your DVD drive ...
 
It's not the DVD drive.

What does the 246 / 256 switch actually do? Does it boot a different BIOS?

The 256 can’t run Tekken 4, even with the 246+ jumper enabled. It’s incompatible. Like other people stated, Tekken 4 is DVD drive picky.

@ArcSys101, you don’t have any other 256 game to try out? Like Super Dragon Ball Z?

my mistake: I have a 246 and a 256 and the 246 can't run tekken ... I have your dvd recommendations, it's on the back burner to find them
