FS Price Check Blast City

For Sale
He means the Ms2932 iirc.
The 33 is rarer only used in a select number of cabs like the Net City its supposedly a revised version of the MS2931 and fixes some issues.

And yeah theres a surprising lack of any Nanao chassis on the market lately especially 2930-2931

To defend one virtue of the blast city, it has a removable control panel housing from the body of the cab. Other cabs (astros, windys, etc) cannot fit through a standard American bedroom doorway without disassembly but a blast can. Its easier to move a pinball machine in and out of bedrooms than astro/windy.

Also the toshiba tube (A68LBT696X) on the MS2931 blast city is beyond reproach.

To be fair, there's basically only one person on Earth who likes Windys and that's @Hedonism Bot 2.0 :P. They're also not that common compared to the Sega stuff.

New Nets fit anywhere though, you can even transport them in a 2 door convertible. Has a reliable monitor, speakers you can find replacements for, doesn't hurt you when you try to mess with the monitor, still has the huge marquee. Can get a harness with a switch for JVS/JAMMA rather than swapping out entire harnesses to change between the two...

@kidpanda took my New net and fit it in a Kia.

Windys are great, they're like Konami's take on an Astro City and have some of the nicest sounding speakers I've heard in a cabinet.

I don't hide my disdain for blasts, I did a write up on them here: https://lionsdenarcade.com/sega-blast-city/

I stand by my statement, they are not a beginner cabinet, and that 2931 is a bastard to work on. If you are a beginner and want one, I really recommend one that's already been worked over top to bottom.

Make that two. I like my Windy. My wife dislikes said Windy living in our dining room. Now we are full circle.

New Nets/Net Citys are likely the best cabs for ease of disassembly/transport. Don't disagree with any attributes you brought up. The cab profile/aesthetics on the other hand...

I'm in the opposite boat. My wife likes the windys but hates the New Net city. As functional as it was and I loved it, she constantly hated on how it looked.- its the only cabinet I have sold and regretted.

I'm beginning to see a pattern.

Back to the OPs post, that's a likely Wei-ya tube and poor respray Blast. I bet the JST connector to the rgb lines on the monitor or AMP UP connectors earlier in the chain with & degauss/AC have been hacked too to accomodate the flat wei-ya tube chassis. I wouldn't advise a blast as a first cab and most definitely not this one.
