MS9-29 Jail bar

Hello friends

I found an astro city for my brother and it's very nice, especially a perfect screen . The chassi has been capkited but there is a kind of jail bar on the left. Its looks like a ghostly vertical bar. This seems to be common to a lot of MS9. Does this get fixed? If yes, how ?

If it's a single vertical line or bar on left side like pic above, it's pretty common on MS9-29 chassis, it's due to old caps.

I don't know which one specific to look, but the line is gone after full recap on all MS9-29 through my hands.

I tried with 2 chassis, with electrlityck caps changed, but same. The last caps dont changed is the big red and big green but I dont know value.

I don't think there is red and green cap on MS9-29, if you mean the film caps they are probably good.
My suggestion is getting some good caps like Nichicon ULD series or United Chemi-Con ELE series from websites like digikey.com.
Here is full cap list of MS9-29, the dimension is measured roughly by myself, may not be exact same with stock but enough for looking for replacement.

Jail bars on ms9 are usually caused by one or more caps going bad near the rgb amp ic so check every cap around that mitsubishi ic if all are ok replace the ic itself.
The ic is U201 RGB Amp M51387P just under cut off pots.

These are all Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors, that's all caps I replaced.

If you are talking about the big green red Film Caps below, they are not on the list, and most likely they wouldn't go bad.

Something like this, pic found on internet. Since they are pretty old and discontinued, your best shot is probably on eBay.
