I was inspired by some of the lions3 cases I've bought. So I started working on make some cases for my PCBs.
Currently working through my Psikyo boards. With the first one being Gunbird. I've got 6 more to go! :)

My wifey is also working on vinyl logo artwork to stick on each one. I'll share when I get more done.

Hmm, thanks for sharing, looking forward to the art.

If you're looking for feedback, try to make the cuts smoother, curve the corners, and use thinner pieces, those look thick as shit! I don't mind the thick ness, but maybe do a cut out for the big cap and lower the top a bit.

I went with 0.25in thickness for the rigidness. A few of the PCBs I bought recently have some bowing in them. I assume from not being stored well. I'm hoping the rigid acrylic will help with that.

I agree with you about the cleaner edges and I would love to do rounded corners. But I think this is about as good as it gets with just my saws at home.

I wanted to get a CNC or laser cutter but haven't found one I wanna invest in. Especially with this just being my hobby.

First batch done ! I'm pretty happy with how the labels and all came out! The labels are printable vinyl and then my wifey cut them out with her Cricut.

I took your advice @XtraSmiley and cut a hole for the fat ass cap. Save about 10mm in height. Also gave me access to the volume pot (which I forgot I needed lol).

Waiting for more acrylic to come in and I'll finish up some more.

Those labels look great, the precision on those cuts as well 😮 i'm now googling cricut 😅

Were those printed using a 'normal' inkjet?
Thank you!

The Cricut is pretty cool. It's basically a CNC for paper, vinyl, cloth and other thin material. You can also use it to write with markers and pens.

We have a photo printer (epson ecotank et-8550). We love it! You can print larger things with it too.
For example the Doom Guy with his bunny 😂😂

Looks great man, I love those labels!

Curious why you can't get the top lower now that there is a hole there?
Thank you!

I could go lower but then the cap would be sticking out. I don't wanna bang it around on the shelf (I know I would).

This is really awesome! Great job on those.

I have a Primal Rage PCB that I plan to do this to, already got the acrylic just need to have the time.

@hoagtech @HornheaDD Thank you both! I'm really happy with how they are turning out so far!

They look great

Are you planning on boxing these cases?

I wonder what size would be needed for these..
By boxing, do you mean putting them in boxes for storage? If so, probably not. I just store all these PCBs on a shelf currently. The main reason I wanted to put some cases on them is to protect the components from being knocked around.
