What's new
@Darksoft Any plans to add support so users can add any new homebrew without the need for an official menu software update from you? Perhaps enabling homebrew developers to publish checksum files that could be loaded from the sd for rom validation?

Sadly without the option to be self serving, this means that products like the NEOSD from Terra Onion will continue to thrive for Homebrew long after @Darksoft stops supporting our devices or gets hit by that proverbial bus that can end product development :( I understand that there's thoughts around protecting the profits of the neogeo dev team and others, but shame that approach will one day leave those of us who purchased Darksoft products without the ability to add our own software.

you are talking about Darksoft man...I'm more scared to spend money on TO product than DS to be honest, history has spoken clearly. The point about "self serving" is in any case something important to get, probably not for every multicart customer

You should be IMO more scared of not getting emails or support from TO than what may or may not happen in the future with this multi. You can always put the files of a new game in another folder and run that new game. Maybe not the most elegant solution but you will be able to play anything new.

Just an idea: what if you create a "homebrew" placeholder game in the menu so that users can upload a random homebrew game. Would that cause any problems?

Interesting. I didn't know running from a general folder was supported already. This is fantastic news and I look forward to testing it out. Thank you :)

As someone who owns a (non Neo-Geo) product from Terraonion, I can say with utter dedication, I won’t buy anything from them again - have you ever tried to get in touch with them, for anything, bloody nightmare.

Personally, I think @Darksoft supports his products and his users far better and with a damn sight more dedication. And while supporting homebrew may not be very elegant at the moment, it’s entirely possible.

I wish @Darksoft made devices for every old system out there, so we didn’t have to deal with the likes of TO, it’d be a cold day in hell before they get more of my money…. But that’s just me.

Thank's Darksoft for this new menu, it's allays a pleasure for us.

Just a comment about the latest firmware ( r1169) .
It gives me glitsch on the screen. This is not the case with the r1110 (November 18th, 2019) and r996
I have install last menu but it was already the case with the other menus
