street fighter word warrior original hack??? (SOLVED)

I do see the two different roms, but no strange fireballs. The CRC is different, they appear to not have been dumped before/added to mame, so there's something different, but it's not working any different in the emulator.

Which player to use? I tried Ken and Ryu, both normal.
friend, I managed to recover the roms from the original rack. Give it a try and post the result here.

I managed to solve it by re-recording the eprom 29 and 36 of the pcb and the hadouken was corrected again

Unfortunately, this is a romset with 29 & 36 from original SF2, maybe the roms.rar file is the wrong one?
30D and 37D are indeed hacked, but they do not change anything in the game.
They probably need 29 & 36 to have the magical fireballs..

Can you check 29 & 36 from your hacked dump at this site?

Maybe you get lucky and there is some dump of it still in your harddisk. :)

replace only eproms 29 and 36 that will work. for me it worked perfectly on cps1.

Thank you.

Sf2 Thunder bootleg rom archive, these files not fresh, from 1996.. Also already dumped, these are not from your board dump.

Anyway thank you for your time and looking into this. I'll try and see what this produces.

Edit: I found sf2thndr zip archive only, and it contains those files with the exact same file dates, so you got them from there.
I won't ask anymore, just chalk up another loss of roms for preservation, but it's nobody's fault and i'm not mad.

Hard to see on the photo but I looks to me that the labels read:

SF2E SF2E
28E 35E

SF2 U SF2 U
29A
(= sf2_29b) 36A (= sf2_36b)

SF2E SF2E
30E 37E

SF2E SF2E
31E 38E

I don't think this particular rom arrangement for SF2 are in The Mame Driver?

It would be easier to just check the revision text from the screen during startup.

The known revisions in Mame are:
