Hey everyone! I'm shopping around for an Exa board right now, please let me know if you woulld like to offload one. Yes, I know you can purchase a new one on their site but it never hurts to reach out to the community and put some cash into someones pocket and possibly get a decent deal.

Anyone know if exa will sell games, do bios/software updates/etc for an aftermarket system, or game? Might be worth asking in that arcade-otaku thread, or asking exa directly. If you did find a used system you’d definitely want to have them update the bios and software with the newest low-latency versions they’ve been releasing.

That is true, pretty sure they require you to pay shipping back and forth so I imagine they would. Of course you never know with these companys. I would hope any kind of warranty was transferable.

They will do update (but you have to pay for the shipping yourself).
That said, unless you have a pretty old system, the BIOS updates of the main system isnt needed to the low latency stuff if I've understood correctly. The games need to be updated though.

They will update games bought second hand (I bought Aka & Blue second hand and have sent it in for updates)

Did you go direct or through a vendor?? I've been eyeing one as well.
I purchased direct on the web site. I emailed them first about it and got this response:

Our US based distributors carry the ARC-1 cabinets and games.

If you are looking for a system only conversion kit, please purchase it from our web site.

Yeah I was hoping for pay in 4. To take the sting off the wallet. That's a lie. To hide it from wife. Lol.

First off, congrats! You'll def enjoy it!

Curious why you need the IONA for the Vewlix vs going the JVS I/O route?
I don't have a jvs or anything that uses jvs. My Vewlix has a brooks universal fight board in it. Right now it pretty much uses my steam deck and switch. Figured the iona was a better drop in solution as usb is already being utilized.

I see. Well you will have something that uses JVS soon enough ;)
Also not sure if you want to spend any more $$$ but Exa also provides JVS' which apparently improves input lag (not trying to sell you on anything more btw ;) )
