For some reason I don’t have green when I hook through jamma edge. Have tried with cps3 and a I/O hooked up to a Naomi 2. When I take the vga out of the io and go directly to monitor hook up I have green what could cause this?

Sounds like there's a break somewhere. If you have a multimeter, do a continuity check between the jamma edge and the video input connector.

Jamma pinout is here:

Out of interest, what cab?
I have continuity from jamma harness to where it lands on the sega io at c5. And the whole way to where it inputs on chassis. Does this mean it’s probably a chassis issue ms2930

Don't check in between, check continuity from the jamma edge to the 15-pin amp up connector on the side of the chassis.

You can push the test lead inside the connector housing from the back (where the wires go in) and it will stay there.

If there's continuity, then it's pretty conclusive and it's likely something on the chassis.

after messing with wires and checking continuity green is back guessing it’s a loose connector or small break

That's good to hear. Easier to fix than the chassis.

I always had issues with the 6-pin connector behind the bezel. You can try wiggling that when the cab is on.

yea that’s def the connector that’s having issues. I’ll have to get another one thanks so much for everything. I was def panicked. Hopefully a new connector and pins will fix that
