I am sure everyone knows that SFII AE has a "bug" that is present if you use any region other than Japan where the AI doesn't care what difficult setting you use. It will always be EXTREMELY difficult.

There is a person who has been working on a "patch" to correct this over on patreon.

I have been talking with him and he has created a Darksoft compatible version of the patch. I tested it and it appears to be working.

In this first link you can see how quickly my official beta tester loses. My dad has very little experience with SFII.

He is also looking to fix additional problems for other games that can be used with the CPS2 and the Darksoft Multi kits.
 
I did not know about this bug!

All this time I thought I was just getting stale and old (“I remember this being easier”)

But actually I was bring trolled by game devs from 20 years ago.

Before I pay to join his Patreon, is there an unencrypted Darksoft version?

I think so because I copied my hsf2 folder on my darksoft to a new folder called hsf2fixed - edited the name and replaced the modified file(s). It just worked.

One idea for other games, all regions of Darkstalkers 3 swapped the blood out for sweat, fix that! Also, during the ending, I think the Japanese version has some cutscenes or graphics you don't get elsewhere. Restore that maybe?

You should definitely join the patreon and let him know about this. I am sure he can do it AND make it work on Darksoft Multi.
