3D printed + arduino + thermal ticket printer Initial D 1-8 card reader/printer

Hi, so recently I had this idea of making a card reader with an arduino or other microcontroller and some 3d printed parts and a receipt printer, but i dont know anything about programming and nothing about how the card reader/printer works on sega arcades, if anyone could post the schematics or had a project of a diy card reader i would thank it.

I think most scanners and receipt printers nowadays go over USB, so a pi-zero should be more than enough.

Thanks but i was thinking more of a device for emulators like teknoparrot or flycast

I would check if those emulators already support this. If you run this from PC style hardware than you should be able to connect both scanner and printer to a small usb hub.
