I have tons of feedback same username on system11, (feedback pic attached but feel free to also send me a message over there!)

This is the brand new hori shmup that was on kickstarter last year, just got my copy in the mail a week ago. Brand new, don’t see myself getting around to it.

Any questions please ask

@Neodogg They may not want to say. I know I don't always want the amount I sold something for to be disclosed because while I'm willing to sell some items at a discount, others I wouldn't and I wouldn't want people to think I just instantly discount everything I list.

Rule 5 of the Marketplace Rules states that the first post should be updated with the final selling price.

This is a Megacat release it will never sell out. they always keep their games in stock. No need for a high price.

@ShootTheCore Very interesting. I didn't realize that. Can't say I care for that rule at all myself and that will most likely keep me from ever selling on here, but it is what it is, so fair enough.

I don’t really understand the secrecy around selling prices. Unlike console games, arcade boards weren’t sold to the general public in large volumes, so there’s no widely accepted pricing standard like you see on sites like PriceCharting. That makes it even more helpful to share information about what items are actually selling for today.

Its always about hiding rip off prices or people are ashamed that they payed to much / could not wait / got triggered by their FOMO...

@ShootTheCore

Well like I was saying, for me it's about expectations. For example on a game that usually sells for around $10, I publicly stated I was willing to take 25% off when I was asked.

That 25% flexibility is STRONGLY carried over in many peoples minds. A similar effect to 'price memory' if you're familiar with that. So then I had multiple people not just asking, but expecting me to knock 25% off my copy of Moon Crystal, Hagane, Little Samson etc. That's a difference of hundreds of dollars at that point.

I have no problem saying no thank you to those offers, so that's not the issue. It's just that peoples expectations can change and it causes undesired effects that could have just been avoided altogether. It creates a lot of extra work to then explain to those people the reasoning.

After selling thousands and thousands of games I've learned a lot from it and shaped my practices accordingly. Not saying other people should copy my methods, it's just what works for me.

@Uroko Sakanabito Those are valid reasons as well, but yeah, my motivation is different.
