What's new
Stay on topic people :P :D

But seriously, the sales on this cart have been amazing. Are 2nd batch preorders going on at the moment?

I am actually looking forward to seeing the AES version. I am thinking the ability to load 3 games at a time is a huge boon for AES users.

........and I don't even own an AES :).

Preorders are closed, so it's impossible to stay on topic now :D

At least until AES preorders are open :D

Darksoft - how long do you estimate it'll be before the AES version is open for presale? Gotta make sure I've got the funds ready.

Hello: Darksoft said the AES carts would be available this January. I'm waiting for that moment a long time ago, and with more enthusiasm. Now that the first batch of MVS has been completed, can we finally buy the AES cart? Thank you very much for this project and for all the efforts to the team that has made possible this incredible hardware development for Neo Geo (Darksoft, Mitsu and others)

There's still a lot going on.

DS will announce when they're open. What's worse than not having a specific date? Postponing of a specific date.

I said it will be ready short after the MVS version. To be honest I want to have the feedback from MVS users before going into production with AES. Better delay it a little than rushing into sales with a non 100% polished product.

Ummm.... I hope I interpreted this incorrectly but that sounds like the MVS cart is some test balloon to get feedback and the AES cart will be the polished version.
I kinda assumed both carts will be top notch and in essence identical in features and quality?

yes you interpreted it incorrectly.
If there are any bugs left in the mvs version we'll fix them and make sure the aes version doesn't have them. Main reason is that AES users are generally more players and bit less electronics literate. So the less they need to update the firmware the better imho.

Yeah, the hope is for the AES version to work as close to perfect as we can get it from the start. No reason to troubleshoot two products at once.

Both will be polished but AES should be more polished from the get go.

If this is your first multi from DS don't let this talk discourage you.

Darksoft and Mitsu talking about ongoing support doesn't mean it's full of bugs. Like how the key support came to the CPS2 (not needed to play before), any improvement they can make they will.

Let us mvs users try every combination of game loading since there will be 200 people. The testers are doing a fantastic job as is but the community doing this also will make it perfect.

The only downside would be if any changes required a hardware revision. If it's just firmware changes, no big deal.
