FS FS: BetsuBetsu revamp from Geektech

Yes, that is correct! Manufacturing is a strong word, I wire them up in my workshop ;) I currently have two 1.5m cables left and one 0.5m. I can make them up to 3m. Scart or VGA at the other end is possbile. But...I'm shipping from Sweden, so it might now be worth the shipping cost for some. But...

New Astro City PSU 400-5198-01Y - Voltage Pot Extender

I've added another version with a lower top tab (2mm) of the extender. Check it out: https://www.printables.com/model/1161794-new-astro-city-psu-400-5198-01y-voltage-pot-extend I might have some people sending over different PSUs for me to fix extenders for these as well. Will report back when...

New Astro City PSU 400-5198-01Y - Voltage Pot Extender

Maybe the pot soldered to the board is higher up than mine, or it's a different pot. I can modify the model to avoid this but it comes with a risk of the extender lifting up from the pot. But I don't think it's a big issue.

New Astro City PSU 400-5198-01Y - Voltage Pot Extender

PLA TL;DR It's safe and you will not get a shock using it. It's the janky screwdriver that will ;) Good point! PLA is non-conductive, although it can absorb moisture over time. That doesn't mean it will make it conductive but degrade the PLA plastic, maybe. This voltage pot extender is not...

New Astro City PSU 400-5198-01Y - Voltage Pot Extender

Exactly! The PSU is also mounted on the bottom of these cabs, so you're on all fours, and with surgical precision, you're trying to hit the tip of the pot while looking at the voltmeter on the JAMMA. Very cumbersome!

New Astro City PSU 400-5198-01Y - Voltage Pot Extender

Adjusting the +5V on the 400-5198-01Y PSU inside of a New Astro City is pretty cumbersome. You need a small screwdriver, lower it through a hole, and then hopefully hit the pot inside the PSU to adjust. That's why I made this thing to make that process easier. This pot extender is keyed to...

    Problem with astro city PSU

Hello! I stumbled upon this issue as well at my friend's place last weekend. This is related to the 400-5198-01Y PSU inside a New Astro City. I tried different resistors as a load on the +5V rail and concluded that 8 ohms (8.2 in my case) was the sweet spot. 10 or 12 ohms didn’t draw enough...

    Yo! Greetings from Sweden.

Sure did! Thank you for the hook up. The chassis needs some love, but I'm hopeful it will work too.

Naomi Universal - Need help with Earth/FG/GND

It sure is! He got tired of it not working so I picked it up from him. Anyway, I'm in the process of repairing it and the reason why I got confused was that I measured continuity on a SEGA Astro City this weekend and the tube and metal chassie was not grounded together, in other words, there...
