    PGM charging circuit question

A regular non-rechargeable CR2032 should last for years on a PGM.

    PGM charging circuit question

Non-rechargeable seems to be the way to go for long-term use.

Which version buy of Knights of Valour and Oriental Legend series

It probably wasn't mentioned because the posters were looking for the best game on the original PGM hardware, not the PGM2.

Gerber files: Coin cell battery holder for MV1B and MV1C

Nice! That's one dirty MV1C! You can buy a replacement plastic cover on ebay.

Thoughts on the BackBit Platinum cartridge?

Standard files work. If you come across one that doesn't boot, just get a different one.

Any tips on where to start troubleshooting? (MVS MV2F) - garbled graphics /boot

Yep, just put it in the right way. No danger beyond any possible damage already done.

My new AES has a death-grip on cartridges - what can I do?

If you post a photo of the slots people here might be able to help check if anything looks amiss.

Thoughts on the BackBit Platinum cartridge?

That was already fixed in a firmware update.

In The Hunt port coming to NeoGeo?

"Neo Geo"? Did they rearrange the soundtrack for the Neo Geo? I assume it just has a recording from the arcade.

Audio Issues MVS Metal Slug 3

Is the game expensive now? I would just return it or sell it to someone who can fix it and buy a new one.

Audio Issues MVS Metal Slug 3

You have to desolder the chips and read them in an EPROM programmer. It is a pretty common problem. My Irritating Maze cart is beat up, and had a V rom go bad.

    MV1C sound issue

That button on the right side of the OMVS is a test button, right? Sure, that's easier to add than a reset because that's on the jamma edge, but there are solder points for a reset button on the back of the MV1C, I'll tell you. :P You don't need the test button if you've got a Unibios installed...

    MV1C sound issue

Fully 5v modding the board, if it hasn't been done already, and replacing all the remaining caps might be a good idea. It sounds like the board is pretty close to being a full working board. I don't think the OMVS has a reset button? If not, it should. I would try resetting the system right...

PGM not starting after I pressed the test button

I really doubt you broke the game. You must have inadvertently got a test or pause switch stuck on without realizing it. Double check the physical switches on the PGM board and supergun, and clear the ram if you can. Get another game to test with.
