The prototype cartridges use parallel NOR flash, while the final ones have to use serial NOR, so the final ones will have some active components to negotiate the serial to parallel conversion (a buffer of some kind, probably)Those may be prototype cartridge PCB's, but they look very close to what you'd expect the final product to be.
My OG AES has that glitch too.I saw the rumoured glitch... they pressed PAUSE.
It wasn't only that. Apparently Spanish youtuber CreativoEnJapon claimed that he had a talk with the Plaion staff and that they said that the first batch of consoles would have issues (as in graphical glitches in games). They also would have said that they were planning a second revision after launch to correct those issues. It seems that his video has been the source of all this rev 1 and rev 2 drama.I saw the rumoured glitch... they pressed PAUSE.

Where exactly did you send it? I haven’t even received a reply yet, and it’s been 12 days now – that should really be long enough to reply.they refunded my pre-order, no questions asked! i ordered from plaion directly. just send them an email requesting to cancel your preorder and they will do it.

Call them, keep emailing them, do whatever u gotta do. I sent 2 emails in a 24 hour period then got my money back. I have since spent it on PCBs.
When i sent my email i included my order numbers too.
Hey, I've always wanted that! It will be tough though, and I'm not sure the reliability would ever be where I'd want it. We already have enough issues with MVS-to-AES converters, and they're less complicated.Ironic that we're going to want an aes to mvs converter to potentially use these new carts with an mvs
My understanding of the problem (greatly simplified because it's 5AM): there is hardware that "un-shuffles" the graphics images for the game. On the MVS this is on the main board, with the AES it's in the cart. So MVS to AES works by adding the un-shuffle to the adapter, but AES to MVS wont work because there would be two un-shuffles. So you would need some very fast hardware in the adapter to re-shuffle it from the cart before it hits the mainboard. Or something like that...Hey, I've always wanted that!
