Ok,
finally I made time to disassemble everything!
Here are a few of pics:
I still have have to remove the coin box (one screw is stuck), then I'll bring to my car shop all metal parts for derust\sanding\repainting.
I read all similar threads here and around the web, but it's my first...
The cabinet is inside, I ended up disassembling just after delivery. :-)
Still looking for some spares for CRT (MS8-9, Sanwa 1745) at reasonable prices.
And maybe a second Astro. ^^'
Ok, I'm ready to star with the restoration; I'll check the various threads in the forum.
Do you suggest I buy some spare yokes for the monitor? Is it something you can damage?
Thanks, I'll contact him when I'm done.
Meanwhile, I found a TC-L292 29" monitor (tube+board).
Could I swap it into the AC? If yes I'd buy it as a spare.
Ok, I managed to tear down everything safely; now I'd take the fiberglass parts to the car shop for sanding and painting with proper fiberglass boat-paint.
Is there any way to safely remove and reapply the original decals or if I repaint I must accept to trash those and go for repros?
Hi,
I'd get a cab but I've no space inside house at the moment. I've a yard (cement floor), with a shed that covers from rain and snow.
I would put the cab, still wrapped in pallet from delivery, near the wall under the shed. I would extra rap it with pluriball, blankets and plastic film to the...
Thanks.
Meanwhile I got errors during flashing on the other MVS too.
I got the same problem around a yer ago, but october fw seemed to solve it. Now it's back (I've very little time to play and extensively testing, unfortunately).
Maybe the cart is defective; voltages or stuff?
I'm sending the...
Lastest firmware and proper MVS+supergun: everything works.
It's my CMVS (the one where flashing failed) that is stuck on pink screen with and without cart, so I don't think the cart is the problem, but maybe someone knows what it could be\how to unstuck. ^^'
Tried to "blind" clear NVRAM too...
Not strictly cart related, but during game flashing it failed so I had to turn MVS off.
Then I updated the cart to latest fw (I was on the previous one still) and now it works on my other MVS, but the first MVS is stuck on pink screen on startup (see pic).
Power supply is ok, video cable is ok...
The error message you get may be due to the fact you didn’t delete the BUFF file (see cart manual for more detailed info about it) from SD after updating.
Which games gave you problem with sound/from start?
I can test those to cross-check.
Experiencing problems similar to Galford's, I took the liberty to download and try the above fw.
I've done 10/15 tries updating 3 slot at the same time with random games... and everything looks fine!
Even MS3 and KoF '98 gave no trouble.
I'll do some more testing in the weekend with my other...
