It's surprising how fast time flies. It's been 1.5 years since my last post and I've finally managed to set other projects aside and try completing this one. It's good to be back. In that time, I moved and had to pack up an entire arcade machine in boxes and pray nothing would be lost or...
It's still unfinished! Fortunately, I've now finally found some time to work on it again so I'm hoping this project may eventually come to a point of completion.
The shop that did the work is very experienced but ya I don't even think they knew what they were getting into. There were a lot of complaints when I was picking things up about how hard and unexpected everything was to re-plate. That being said it wasn't a cheap service. With all the metal it...
Two months really flew by there. It has been a while since I've written any updates primarily because I was waiting on various parts/services. I finally have everything I need to start re-assembly. Now, I just need to find time to do so. Here are some pretty things I recently received.

Just received one of these Astro City marquee panels and realized I don't have any screws for it. Does anyone know a good place to get the top screws that hold the plastic pieces together? I think I need a small screw and dome shaped nut.
This is really exciting! Having this title in the DS multi setup will be great if possible. Especially considering how well it was done. I’ve never used the Super Turbo training rom so I can’t compare that but the description of this one sounds extra polished.
@codecrank oh, interesting. I wasn't aware of that. Only used it to polish up/restore the plastics. Fortunately, I wasn't planning on putting it in the joystick since I'm buying new sticks. :)
@Softdrink using a belt sander for the wheels was a genius move too. I also need to key my JAMMA connectors like you've done as well because I'm always paranoid about that.
Great work @Softdrink! I'll be shamelessly copying some of the things you've done here. I like the idea of marking the service date on cap changes and the service light clips you designed look like an excellent improvement to any cab.
I used more aggressive cleaning products when removing rust...
I was booting up some of the ROM hacks in the encrypted rollup pack and I'm uncertain what is different about them. Does anyone know of what the changes are exactly in all the CPS2 ROM hacks?
Ah, so it was supposed to be there. Well, we have some places in and around Seattle that specialize in zinc coating so maybe I'll look into getting all the metal parts re-plated.
