Back in 2020, I fully restored an Astro City arcade bought online and documented the process here:
Since then, I have moved from Seattle to Nebraska and my Seattle home has been an AirBnb, but this home is now sold and I need to sell the Astro City. This machine needs to move fast unfortunately, but this could be a good opportunity for someone to get a great deal. Included with the arcade is a Darksoft CPS2 Multi housed in the TR Fightsticks metal case of which I have only one photo unfortunately, but it's beautiful. I'm not present in Seattle so the current photos I have of this machine were taken by someone there and sent to me. It appears the monitor has a reddish tint to it and may need servicing. My only real goal is for this to go to someone that will take care of it and restore it again. Due to the house basement entrance being very narrow, whoever buys this will need to partially disassemble it to get the machine out of the house which is what I did to get it in - so probably not a purchase for just anyone just wanting the machine unfortunately. The machine is still in excellent condition and has honestly barely had any use while it sat in the AirBnb over the last 5 years - the listing never even had any mention of a cool arcade machine so I assume people just didn't care or use it.
For those interested, I encourage you to look through the restoration thread and see all that was done to this machine. It's really a unique opportunity and I'm sad that I can't keep it but I've moved across the country and the costs don't justify moving it myself.
It is locked up and hasn't been opened in 5 years since the property was turned into an AirBnb. All locks are Sega 5575 locks with the dimple keys of which I will be sending one to Seattle today included with the sale.
Price: $1500 takes it all. (SOLD)
After much looking I recently managed to buy two arcade machines - an Astro City and a Blast City. I've been reading a ton of other peoples Astro City restoration threads (which there are a few here and other forums) trying to gather as much info as possible. I've never owned an arcade machine before so pretty much all of this is new. My plan is to document the process as I go and hopefully rely on some of the expertise here in this forum for answers that might help me as well as others down the road. The Astro City I bought is already in pretty decent condition albeit with some missing /...
